What a busy week! We went to West Virginia last weekend for my hubby's family reunion. While there I noticed that my foot was swollen and hurting. I didn't remember hitting it or injuring it, and it didn't look bruised. Fast forward to Wednesday when I went to the orthopedist. I have one, possibly two, stress fractures and get to wear a lovely Aircast Boot for SIX WEEKS!!! We had planned to go to Disney the second week of October, but we are postponing the trip til Spring Break because I want to be able to get around and do everything. :( Boo hiss! Since I'm not a runner and don't have a clue how this happened, I'm having a bone density test in a just a little while to be sure everything else looks good!
Here are the happier highlights of my week:
This is the sight that greeted me when I arrived at school on Tuesday morning. WOW...what a mighty and creative God we serve. I'm continually blown away by His handiwork. How blessed I am that He's my Abba, Daddy. :)
My students had a blast making Tally-Mark Tim and learning the tally mark jive as we practiced making and counting tally marks. You can find these goodies in my Tally Mark Tim Unit on TPT!
There's an outlet called JR's Wholesale in Statesville, NC where we always stop during our trips between GA and WV. I found these super adorable packs of banana shaped dominoes for only $4 per pack. I snatched 3 of them and plan to create some fun addition and subtraction games with them. Love this!!
I found this super adorable poster idea on Pinterest but can't find the original source or link. Please let me know if you know who came up with this. The grandparents had so much fun reading this today! :)
We always schedule our book fairs during Grandparents day because, let's face it, grandparents love to spoil their babies! Can you believe this awesome haul from my wish list!? I am super excited. I got six books from one little sweetie! #ilovebooks
Enjoy your weekend...I plan to attend my precious niece's second birthday party. Doesn't get much better than that! :) Here's Madison (My niece) hugging and kissing Morgan (my daughter). These two ADORE each other!! Morgan even calls Maddi her "baby sister." Awww...
And here's the beautiful birthday girl, my niece Madison:
Don't forget to enter my MEGA giveaway {HERE}! It ends on Sunday!
There's another Molly Lou Melon book! I definitely have to check that one out! Looks like you have been busy this week! Enjoy your weekend with those little cuties!

Sorry to hear about your foot. My sister also had a stress fracture from walking, so I don't think it takes much to injure it. Glad you were able to postpone your Disney plans till you can enjoy it fully.
ReplyDeleteFun books!
You are brave to host grandparents day so early in the year! Looks like you had a great week!
