Classroom Decor and Organization {And a Barker Creek Giveaway!}

I'm so excited to be teaming up with a small, woman-owned business that many of you have heard of...Barker Creek Publishing!  They are the makers of the fabulous Draw Write Now! that you've seen featured on many blogs.  I had the chance to try out a different product in my classroom, the Modern Elements Classroom Design Set which comes with all this loveliness:

 Morgan (my little one) and I were like kids at Christmas when we opened the box!

The set comes with 12 colorful file folders.  The colors are amazing and will go with nearly any bright classroom decor.  I am using them for my daily folders to organize worksheets, handouts, and activities:

It also comes with 30 library pockets.  These were a big help, since my firsties are wanting to take some of my classroom books home.  I numbered the pockets and am using them to keep up with which book goes home when.  Since they are numbered, I can use them from year to year. :)

I'm using the adhesive labels to organize and label my supply drawers:

But my favorite part?  The bulletin board goodies!!  Lots of colorful, high quality products to make your bulletin boards POP!  I chose to make a "Tweet" Work board to feature sweet work by my firsties.  I used twine to make a clothesline.  Then I hot glued a bird to a clothespin, then glued a pushpin to the back of the clothespin.  That way I can push them into the bulletin board and clip work to the pin.  Since they are too heavy to hang from the twine, this was the best option.  Plus, it gives a nice 3-d effect like the birds are actually sitting on the clothesline!  The kiddos noticed the new board immediately and are very motivated to do their best so their work will be featured on the board.

Don't you just love the adorable birds?  And that border is simply stunning and colorful!  The accent pack also came with sunshines and clouds, but I saved them to use on another project.   I haven't even gotten around to using the computer paper or the large nameplates.  I'm telling you...this pack is chock full of goodies!  It retails for around $60.00, and you can check it and ALL of Barker Creek's fab products out at their website {HERE}!  I've got their magnet activity centers on my wishlist!

The best news of all?  Barker Creek has graciously agreed to give one of my followers the classroom decor set of YOUR choice.  You can choose from:
