Scarecrows in the Classroom

I'm *slightly* obsessed with scarecrows.  In fact, I think they're downright cute.  So much so, that I recently created a scarecrow craft for my kidlettes to complete.  We turned it into a bulletin board!

Here are some other fun Scarecrow ideas for the classroom:

Scarecrow Cookies from The Crafty Crow

 Scarecrow Song from You Tube

I found this amazing scarecrow directed drawing at Paper Blog and shared it with our art teacher.  Look how beautiful these drawings turned out in our art room window!

This Scarecrow coloring page from Dover Publication is a FREEBIE!  So cute!

This scarecrow hat is simply precious....and easy to make according to Parents Magazine!

Another MUST for a fun Fall party!  Check out these awesome crow and scarecrow cookies from Party Pinching!

One of my favorite scarecrow books is The Little Scarecrow Boy.  Last year, my kindergartners were charged with making their scariest face to scare the crows away!  This makes a fun class book! :)

Here's another amazing directed drawing project from one of my favorite sites, Art Projects for kids.  I love the crayon outline with watercolor paint...stunning!

A fun culminating activity is building a real scarecrow.  My hubby came and made one with my class and my daughter's class last year.  Please excuse the hideous Mother-Goose-Looking-Bank-Bag Head (and don't tell hubby I said that...lol).  The kids had a blast!  What a fun memory!

Are you ready to do All Things Scarecrow in YOUR class now?
