We are gearing up for a fun thematic day called "Apple Day" on Tuesday. We'll be participating in science, art, reading, creative writing, and more all centered around apples and Johnny Appleseed. Here's a peak at some of the projects we'll be doing:
All of these activities and more are included in my newest packet, Apple Day, available here:
And, I've just uploaded a fun freebie to supplement your classroom exploration of all things apples. Have you seen these two awesome books? I recently bought them at our book fair:
Annie the Apple Pie Fairy is an adorable story with the most beautiful illustrations. It lends itself beautifully to teaching plot and verbs. My kids are creating an Apple Pie Actions anchor chart, and the students will create their own smaller version.
Apples A to Z has some fabulous vocabulary and factual information, and my students will be completing a class Apple ABC's book based on the facts we learn in this story.
The freebie packet includes the activities listed above plus two generic graphic organizers perfect for any apple books. You can snag your freebie here:
I'll be back later in the week to tell you all about how Apple Day went!
