One of my favorite units I've created so far is a math mini unit about a monster named Max. I've found that anytime I introduce stories or memorable characters, concepts just seem to STICK with my firsties. They never seem to forget or struggle with those concepts again. Max is one of several math characters I've created (along with Tally Mark Tim and Chloe the Clock). I've recently revamped the entire unit, and I'd love to give you a sneak peek at some of the changes:
It includes an original story written by me, character posters, a mini book summarizing Max's story, a Monster Mix recipe with bag toppers, a Math Muncher craft with tracer patterns, 4 practice/assessment pages, several anchor charts, and a game in both color and black/white. If you already own it, be sure to redownload it. I think you'll be pleased with the updates!
For the next 24 hours ONLY (til 7:00 p.m. EST on Thursday 4/4), this unit will be on sale for $2! It's regularly $4.50. {CHECK IT OUT HERE!} And while you're there, go check out Max's buddies Tally Mark Tim and Chloe the Clock!
Don't forget to enter the giveaway in my previous post to win a copy of Holly's Nonfiction Writing Unit! Giveaway ends Friday.
I just bought this and absolutely love it! I already left feedback, too. I love the characters, content, and font use. Thanks for sharing your hard work! I can't wait to use it with my kids!!
