CURRENTLY and CCSS Resources

It’s time for Farley’s CURRENTLY edition for the month of April.  Here is mine:

Now, on to the CCSS...
So many of us have questions about the Common Core State Standards and what they mean for us, our classrooms, and our schools.  I was introduced to a fabulous resource I want to share with y’all.  The state of New York has put together an amazing website called Engage NY (engageny.org).  This site applies to all states and schools implementing the CCSS, whether you live in NY or not.
It is divided into helpful sections for teachers, principals, and administrators. Each section has TONS of useful information.  For instance, the teacher section includes information on:
·       CCSS Implementation Timeline
·       CCSS Instructional Shifts
·       CCSS Video Series
·       Curriculum Exemplars
·       Math Content Emphases
·       And more
You can check it out here:

I hope this information is helpful.  Happy Good Friday.  I am
thankful for a Savior who was willing to die on the cross
in my place.

  3. Those look like such useful resources. Funny thing? I'm in one of the FEW states who doesn't use common core, so all the awesome stuff people put up about it doesn't always match my standards!! BOO!
