Storybook Ball

I love the small, Christian school where I teach.  Everyone works so hard and tries to make school a wonderful experience for the students.  Our art teacher is AMAZING...truly amazing!  She is also the office assistant.  She plans a Storybook Ball for PK3, PK4, and K5 every year.  She went all out this year as usual.  My daughter dressed like a character from my favorite children's book of all time...Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse.  She was so adorable (if I do say so myself) telling everyone, "I'm Lilly.  I'm the Queen.  I like e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!!"

Several parents dressed up in elaborate costumes.  The kids were read to by these costume-clad parents.  The students made crowns and fancy glasses to drink out of.  They had a yummy spread of dragon cake, dragon kisses, dragon (really dinosaurs, but the kids never noticed) chicken nuggets, pink punch, homemade marshmallows in the shape of crowns, and dragon scales (doritos).  What a magical experience for all involved!  Enjoy the pictures.  :)

  1. My son attended a small Christian school for two years of Pre-K. It's amazing what you guys can do without all the rules and regulations that a public school has :) I commend you for it!
