Ahoy, Mateys! Are you as excited about the long weekend as I am? I have a busy weekend planned and won't get much rest over the course of the weekend, so I am excited about having Monday to relax and regroup.
I finished my How I Became a Pirate unit. My students and I are going (along with the first grade class at our private school) to see this play at a local college next week. I wanted to come up with some extension activities so we can fully enjoy and learn from this experience. I have put the unit on Teachers Pay Teachers, and it is available for $1.50. Here are a couple of sample pages. The unit includes 10 pages in all. Please go check it out! I will post pictures of our field trip next week.
What are your favorite Pirate Books? What are your favorite extension activities for those books? Let's inspire each other!
Aargh! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteI like the book, "Shiver Me Letters" (June Sobel)...it is really cute! =)Jennifer

I bet this will be lots of fun! I did a couple of pirate activities when I did "ar" words earlier in the year - I even made myself a cute pirate shirt! Come check out the pirate freebie and ideas:
