Aargh.....Ahoy Matey's!!

Ahoy, Mateys!  Are you as excited about the long weekend as I am?  I have a busy weekend planned and won't get much rest over the course of the weekend, so I am excited about having Monday to relax and regroup.

I finished my How I Became a Pirate unit.  My students and I are going (along with the first grade class at our private school) to see this play at a local college next week.  I wanted to come up with some extension activities so we can fully enjoy and learn from this experience.  I have put the unit on Teachers Pay Teachers, and it is available for $1.50. Here are a couple of sample pages.  The unit includes 10 pages in all.   Please go check it out!  I will post pictures of our field trip next week.

What are your favorite Pirate Books?  What are your favorite extension activities for those books?  Let's inspire each other!

  2. I bet this will be lots of fun! I did a couple of pirate activities when I did "ar" words earlier in the year - I even made myself a cute pirate shirt! Come check out the pirate freebie and ideas:
