What I've Been Up to Wednesday & Jamberry Giveaway!!

To say that life has been a whirlwind lately is an understatement.  My dad ended up having his second emergency surgery last weekend.  He had emergency surgery 10 weeks ago when his large intestines ruptured.  This time the surgery was because his small intestines ruptured!!  There was also a large mass on his colon, but praising God that turned out to be scar tissue from the first surgery.  My family is exhausted and covets your prayers.  I'm not sure how we would get through tough times without praying friends.

In other news, my kiddos and I have been working on my Robert Munsch Author study.  They are now just as in love with my favorite author as I am!  They especially love hearing him read the books on his website (www.robertmunsch.com).

We've made a smelly sock glyph, designed new T-shirts for Grandma to give in Kiss Me I'm Perfect, and made collages of ourselves in bed having a dream to celebrate our reading of Get Out of Bed!

Tomorrow we are making BME story pigs after reading Pigs!

We've also started getting our Author Study notebooks set up.  We learned about an Author's Toolkit which includes pencils, computers, dictionaries, and thesauruses.  We've practiced using a dictionary.

 As if my personal life weren't busy enough right now, I've also been busy trying to get my April Read and Writes and April Fluency Homework Packets completed.  AND, I've been busy trying to get my Jamberry nails business up and running!  I'm officially addicted to these things!  They are so much fun to use and to sell!  Here's my current mani and pedi:
