I’m
linking up with Lyndsey at A Year of Many Firsts for her
I am
thankful, first and foremost, for the salvation I have received from Jesus
Christ—my Lord and Savior.
I am thankful
for my family…for my beautiful, healthy daughter, Morgan. There isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't make me laugh (like the time she put blue lipstick all over her lips and looked like she was losing oxygen but couldn't quit admiring her new look in the mirror!!):
And for my
sweet, hard-working, creative husband. He recently painted my dining room which is no easy feat since our house is 60 years old and has plaster walls. Here he is teaching Morgan how to cut quarter round:
I am
thankful for my job. I love teaching,
and after a 6 year break during which I helped manage my father’s pharmacy, I’m
glad to be back in the classroom. I didn’t
realize how much I’d missed it. I’m
thankful for the creativity and passion God has gifted me with! I am so blessed to be at a Christian school where I get to teach about Jesus just as much as academics. Here is Morgan and a few of her classmates performing "Hail Jesus, You're My King!" at our chapel service a few weeks ago.
I am
thankful for my health. My mom has had
Lupus since I was 3, and I lived in fear of being sick for many, many years…up until
just a couple of years ago, actually.
That’s no way to live! I’m
thankful I’ve learned to take one day at a time and just be thankful for each
and every day of health.
I’m
thankful for my material blessings…my nice,
cozy home, my not-so-attractive-yet-paid-for minivan, my clothes and trinkets. So many people don’t have the material blessings
I have! I too often take everything for
granted.
I’m
thankful for this time of the year…Thanksgiving
and Christmas are my absolute favorites!
And,
lastly, I’m thankful I “stumbled” upon the world of blogging and TPT a little
over a year ago!!
