Storybook Ball: Farm Theme {Free Decor Set!}

 First up...
 However, I made it through this hectic week and rounded out Friday with FUN!
Today was one of my FAVORITE days of the year!  It was our annual Storybook Ball!
Each year our Pre-K, K, and 1st grade classes have a Storybook ball centered around a theme.  This year our theme was The Farm!  The children received an invitation:

 Here is what the children were greeted by when they arrived.  Our building was now a barn!
Students arrived this morning dressed so cute!  We had Charlie the Ranch Dog, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Pinkalicious, Cowgirls, Farmers, and More!  Oh my word, Y'all!  Our art teacher dressed her son like the cutest scarecrow ever.  He even had a (temporary) yardstick supporting his arms.  I thought I would die giggling!

 The children rotated through four stations in groups--crafts, music, snacks, and story time!  I made these cute little signs to define the areas.
 In crafts, students fingerpainted fluffy white sheep and painted pigs with mud (brown paint).  They had a ball!
 In music they do-si-do'd, danced with their teddy bears, and did some Animal Action.  The Kindergarten teacher and aide really got a workout leading this station!
 In story time, they sat on good old fashioned quilts and gathered around the hay bale where a storyteller shared Piggie Pie, Turkey Trick or Treat, When the Leaf Blew In, and The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
 Several mothers transformed the snack room into a real life barn.  It was amazing!
There was a photo booth with lots of cute props and a rustic fence.  The snack table featured a cowprint table cloth with homemade animal cake pops, hay (pretzels), pigs in a blanket, and fruit kabobs (farm fresh fruit).

The tables were decorated beautifully and each teacher got a mason jar of fresh flowers at the end of the day!

 Not only did we get group pictures at the barn photo booth, but we took individual pictures as well.  They'll be added to the bulletin board after they're printed!

By the way, don't you just love how they tied tissue paper together to make this border?

I'm pooped, and I know some other teachers and mamas who are as well.  But it was all perfect and we all made some wonderful memories!
