Do you have bouncy children? I do! Quite a few, in fact. I have a few students who learn best while fidgeting. I can't blame them. Guess how I'm positioned writing this blog post? I'm sitting on one foot while bouncing the other one! It seems our brains work better when our bodies are moving--at least for some of us!
I was thrilled to try out a simply yet revolutionary product called Bouncy Bands in my classroom!
My hubby is an engineer BUT I AM NOT! So when it comes to assembly, I need something quick and easy. Bouncy Bands are so easy to place on the feet of a desk or chair and children LOVE them!
Bouncy Bands were designed by someone who knows AND understands wiggly kids--Scott, Ertl, a school Guidance Counselor! He wanted to give his students a chance to wiggle while they work. In fact, 87% of surveyed students said they felt calmer when they took tests using bouncy bands. 71% of teachers agreed! Bouncy Bands are quiet, so students don't distract other students while they wiggle and work! Watch how Bouncy Bands work:
I had one student who was so impressed with his bouncy band at school, that his mom contacted me and said she wanted to buy two more to donate to my classroom. She said he has gone on and on about it at home! If you want to try out Bouncy Bands, check out their site here:
