Wow...long time no blog, huh? My daughter and I had the stomach virus last week so I rested all week. Then, I started school this week so I've been BUSY and TIRED!!! Ooober tired! I'd forgotten how little firsties know in the fall. I forgot how I freak out the first week of school and think "Why did I sign up to teach such young ones?" lol...then around October, all is good as they start making great strides in their learning and independence! I wanted to share some pics of my classroom. (Dear hubby says it's gonna make the kids dizzy when they look at it...lol!)
My owl theme started with this fabric from Hobby Lobby:
The pennant banner is from my Owl Decor Kit available on TPT.
The class jobs are from my owl decor kit as well, and I bought the bulletin board set from Smilemakers.
I used black fabric for my bulletin boards this year, and I love how it makes everything POP. Here are my Subway Art signs on display. You can grab them at TPT!
I had parent last year who had this lost tooth chart made for me. We add a tooth sticker each time a child loses a tooth! The calendar set is available in my owl decor kit on tpt.
I am in love with this burlap owl made by two high school friends of mine who have a booth in a local antique market. And I cut out the vinyl letters with my Silhouette.
My cozy reading nook features chairs I bought at Walmart two years ago. I found the owl and striped border at The Dollar Tree of all places! And, I love Ginger Snaps' genre posters!
This is an overall peak at my classroom. The seat sacks are available at the Aussie Pouch Company.
And here's my heart on her first day of Kindergarten!
More reveal pics coming soon. One week down! I have a sweet group of 10 first graders (Christian school). We're looking forward to a fabulous year! :)

Awesome classroom! I'm doing owls myself so it's always great to see other's ideas. With you calendar, is that velco you've used to put on the days? Do you have a problem with them pulling & tearing?
ReplyDeleteYour classroom looks adorable! Great work! Jealous of your small class, too. :)
