Ten Pin Linky Party: Science & Social Studies Ideas

It's time for the next installment of my weekly Ten Pin Summer Linky Party.  This week we're sharing Science and Social Studies Pins.  I'm really excited about this one, because I'm using a new Science and SS curriculum next year, so I'm trying to get inspired!  I hope you'll link up this week.  Be sure to share the link to your pin as well as the url of the original source (or you can just link back to the original source with the picture instead of doing both).  Here we go:

1.  I love this pollination activity using cheetos from Science Notebooking.  Genius!!

2.  This website looks fabulous and lets students go on a journey through space!
This website allows students do go on a journey through space via the internet. It says that it is a fifth grade assignment, however I think that it could be used in any grade level. YOu would just need to think of other questions for the students to answer.

3.  How cute are these leaf people?  I am totally taking my laminator to school and doing this this year! :)

4.  How precious is this science journal for recording all of our student's experiments, observations, and science thinking?  Love this from Sprinkle Teaching Magic!

5.  The Guess Who Zoo? is definitely going to be a family project during our animal unit!  How adorable is this???
Great idea!

6.  I love this venn diagram comparing pilgrims to us.  This would be great to simply have a laminated venn like this to use year round for lots of topics!

7.  I've seen a dozen or more versions of the Me on the Map craft, but I wanted to create my own.  It's available in my TPT store.  I love the two map choices and the chance to personalize it.

8.  This is one of my favorite TPT purchases ever!  We had so much fun with this unit last year.  It's great for either election periods or President's Day.

9.  I love Christina Bainbridge's Christmas Around the World unit.  Here's a scrapbook freebie available on TPT.  I also have flippy books and Power Point presentations that go along with this.  FABULOUS!

10.  I'm thinking about assigning some kind of family tree craft/project for one of my first family homework assignments.  These ideas really have my brain churning:

  2. Love your pins! Especially the little leaf men!

I tried to link up but my link doesn't seem to be showing up after I submitted. Not sure what's up as I have never used this linky system before. I just thought I would let you know! I will try again in the morning!

    1. I tried to submit it again and it said that the link already exists so it definitely is there but that the owner probably has the settings to approve links first before showing them. Shouldn't be a problem! Thanks!
