Are y’all having fun yet? We sure are! I can’t believe we have been out of school almost a whole month!! My family got back from a cruise to the Bahamas a few days ago. Now, baby girl and I are spending our days sleeping in, cleaning house, making crafts, and lazing around with friends by the pool. I am thoroughly enjoying this time with her, but I must confess…I work on something teaching-related EVERY DAY! I have been printing out all of Cara’s and Abby’s units I will be using at the beginning of the year and laminating them (after spending about $400 on color ink cartridges…YIKES) I’ve also been working on some units of my own, though I have been disappointed that nothing NEW has struck me lately…hopefully I will be inspired soon!
I did manage to finish a Bucket Filler resource packet that is great to use at the beginning of the year when you read about and introduce Bucket Filling. I have tried and tried to include pics in this post, but Blogger is not cooperating with me. I will give away one Bucket Filler mini unit to one person who checks it out on TPT and comments below letting me know that you went over there and downloaded the preview. I will randomly choose one winner tomorrow evening to win this mini unit. Good luck!
{Click HERE} to see it in my TPT shop! (I am also having an End-of-Quarter Sale...everything in my store is 20% off!)
I haven't used anything with Bucket Filler but I would love to try it out! :)
ReplyDeleteYour unit looks great and is super cute!

What a great resource! I love that everything is all bundled together in one spot....which means that I would no longer have an excuse for not giving it a try!

Hi Ashley!
ReplyDeleteI love your bucket filler idea. We do that at my school and I'm always looking for cute ways to engage the children with it. I'm a new bloggy and just started following you! Come visit me at http://teachinlittletexans.blogspot.com
I'm still learning and can't figure out how to put a link in my posts...

ReplyDeleteOk, you learn something new every day! :)
Count me in! The preview looks great- love the poem and anchor chart pic!
ReplyDeleteAlso- just having joined TpT in March, do people generally do an "end of quarter" sale? I love the idea!

The 2012-2013 school year will be my first year as a classroom teacher...and I will be teaching second grade! I am a huge fan of "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?". I have already purchased the book and plan to use it with my class. I have been trying to brainstorm ideas of how I can incorporate it into my classroom...I LOVE your unit preview! You did such a wonderful job and I would love to have it as a resource!
ReplyDeleteThis unit looks great!! If I don't win, I have it on my wishlist to purchase anyway!

This unit looks fantastic! I used bucket filling for the first time this year and my kids loved it. I am however wanting to amp it up this year and make it stronger! :)

Great job! I was planning on using the bucket filler at the start of school. I think it will be great to use with my kindergarteners.
