Max the Math Monster!

I'm sure you guys have seen the greater than/less than creatures you make out of popsicle sticks or craft sticks before.  I had, too, but the other day when we made them I made up a story about Max the Math Monster.  My kids loved the story, and the idea really stuck with them.  Now, they are loving using their Math Munchers to munch on the greater number.  This manipulative is also helping them write the correct sign and read the expression correctly (i.e. 54 is greater than 17...or 78 is less than 105.)  I decided to create a greater than/less than unit for TPT centered around my monster story.  The unit includes number cards for comparing numbers, a recipe for Monster Mix, directions for creating your Math Munchers, character cards, a monster coloring page, two assessment/practice pages, and my original story of Max the Math Muncher.  Go check it out and let me know what you think!  Also, since there were very few comments on my Me on the Map project, I will email each of the 4 ladies who commented the project.  Please send me your email address at:  ashleybowlesreed@hotmail.com.
